Hello! Who is ready to rix, flix, and relax to another Rix Top 6?
Now the thing is, since the parks have reopened, I've been running into fans and stuff
wanting to sing the jingle, Rix Top 6. I just didn't have a topic. Well, I do now. So hit it!
So I had to have Nikki with me for this particular Rix Top 6 because it involves food.
He needed an extra stomach. I did, I did. And we're still not going to have everything.
But today's going to be the top six unique food and drink items you really should try
while visiting Universal Studios. Sounds delicious. And this will be in no particular order,
probably just what's open. Because it's before noon, so a lot of things won't be open. So we're
going to do what we can. So if we have dessert first, forgive us. But you know, is it really
wrong to have dessert first? I think not. I would think not too. It's a good idea.
So let's just go around the park trying these great unique food items and drink items.
Another thing to note, please do not doubt my math skills. This is a Rix Top 6, but there will
be more than six items on this list. In fact, I tried to group a few things together to make it a
more efficient. So I thought we'd start over here in Springfield with a specialty drink you should
try. And that's going to be the Squishy. So the Squishy made it on the list because it is an
iconic drink from the Simpsons. And you can get it over here in Springfield at the Duff Brewery.
And what kind of flavors do we have? We've got margarita, we have pina colada and strawberry,
and banana and white cherry. And typically the price of this would be after my pass holder
discount $4.98. Yeah that's the price with my discount. I think in general you can kind of plan
on six bucks for a Squishy. Six bucks for a Squishy. And now we're not going to have the Squishy.
We're going to walk over to Diagon Alley to have the other item on this list. So the other unique
fun kind of drink you should have, which I should mention is non-alcoholic, is going to be of course
I have to put butterbeer on this list. So there's three types of butterbeer in terms of drinks.
They're hot, frozen, and regular. And it's too hot for the hot. They only do that seasonally. Yes. So
we're going to have a regular or frozen. Which will it be Nikki? I'll let you decide. Oh wow.
I don't know what they do now. And because I know it's Nikki's favorite and because it's hot as
blazes today, we went with the frozen butterbeer. Which regular price is $8.51. More often than not,
I get the regular butterbeer. I forget how good the frozen is. Oh so you admit it's good. It's good
especially on a super hot day. Yeah. Before we get too deep into this list, let's mention a couple of
honorable mentions. They didn't make quite make the drinks top six, but they're worth mentioning.
Over here in London, they do have at this little green cart, the jacket potato. And the jacket
potato usually runs around $9.79. And there's a few different varieties, but this is on the list
as an honorable mention because it is a pass holder favorite here at Universal. So the varieties
of jacket potato that you have, a jacket potato with beans and cheese, one with broccoli and cheese,
the shepherd's pie jacket potato, and then the loaded jacket potato. All of them $9.79.
As we walk over to the next honorable mention, I should mention that I really debated if I
should include Harry Potter items on this list or not. Or if I should make Harry Potter its own
separate video. In the end, I decided, well if people are going to visit Universal, they're going
to visit all parts of the park. So I thought I should include everything in the list today. So
that was kind of my rationale for how I came up with this list. The second item I have as part of
the honorable mention list is going to be here at the Cletus Chicken Shack. And it's going to be the
chicken and waffles. Now I didn't make it as a Rick's top six because it's not super unique. You
can get this out in the real world, but it is a good thing to have if you're visiting Springfield,
I think. So the chicken and waffles is actually a sandwich. And the chicken and waffle sandwich
combo is $16.49. And the chicken and waffle sandwich platter is $12.99. And that's enough
of the honorable mentions. Let's get back to the real countdown. And we're going to move to the
second item on the list. It's going to be, I've grouped it into burgers. Okay. Okay. So there's
two things, unique food items you really should try here that are burgers. One's going to be the
Krusty Burger and the other is going to be a Wimpy's Burger. Okay. Now what I'm going to show
you, what I'm going to have is going to be the Krusty Burger. I feel that's more iconic than
the Wimpy's Burger. Okay. Wimpy is a character from Popeyes. Yes, you got it right that time.
I got it right. He may not be as popular as the Simpsons. Okay. I think that's a fair statement.
So I will demonstrate to you, I'll show you the Krusty Burger. You really should try it when you're
here at Universal. The Krusty Burger comes topped with a little cute pickle. Nikki had a bite of it.
How was that Nikki? It was interesting. It wasn't like sour and it wasn't sweet. It was, it was
interesting. And then it comes with Cheez Whiz, like a liquid cheese. That's crazy. Then underneath
you have a, you have some tomatoes and lettuce. Okay. The Krusty Burger combo is $15.99. That
comes with curly fries and a shake. And then you can also have the Krusty Burger platter,
which is $12.49, which is just the burger and the fries. So that was a look at the iconic
Krusty Burger. We both ate some of it. I took a bite. What'd you think of it? It tasted pretty
decent for like a frozen patty, right? Right. It's not a fresh patty. It was pretty decent. It
was just really sloppy and messy. The Cheez Whiz portion of it made it so messy and like slippery.
Yes. I mean, his hands were yellow. Have a lot of, if you want to look like a Simpson.
True. Have, have a lot of napkins. I would advise maybe if you order it, say,
easy Cheez Whiz. Maybe that would help. Maybe. It's not the best burger, but I mean, it's something
you can't buy out in the world. You can't drive down your street, make a left and get a Krusty
Burger. That's true. That's a good point. Got to get that here in Springfield at Universal. That's
why it's on the list. Okay. Now the Wimpy's Burger, I'll show you, we'll go over there. We'll show you
the sign and everything, the pricing. The Wimpy's Burger is better. Is it? Yes, it is. Okay. I think
I did a video on that. If I can find that video, I'll link it in the description. Okay. But I did
a video where I did try the Wimpy's Burger. And as I recall, it's a better burger. Not as iconic
as the Krusty Burger. Okay. Now let's walk over to IOA so we can show you the Wimpy's Burger.
And then also over there is the next item on the list. We're walking over to IOA, but I would like
to note that today, June 30th, is the official opening day of the Bourne Stuntacular. It's open
for good now, guys. No going back. Speaking of Bourne, which we just were, I did a Wikipedia on
that attraction. Everything you want to know about the Bourne Stuntacular, go check out that video.
I'll leave a link to it in the description box. Into Islands of Adventure, where the adventure
begins and our eating continues. Which is so funny because yesterday I worked so hard on being
good on my diet, eating right. And then last night, late last night, I get this idea for this video,
which totally will negate all the good I did yesterday in my diet. That's just how life works
sometimes. For Wimpy's Burger, you will need to go to Islands of Adventure and to the Toon Lagoon
section to be specific, and then you have to cross over the bridge by Popeye's and Bluto's
Barges, and to the right you'll find the famous Wimpy's. So the burger I speak of specifically is
the Wellington Cheeseburger, and you can get it in a platter for $15.99. It is my official opinion
that that Wellington Cheeseburger is better than the Krusty Burger. But like I said earlier,
the Krusty Burger is just too iconic to skip. And now that we're done fully explaining Wimpy's,
let's move on to the next item on the list. A category unto itself. That's right. Green
Eggs and Ham. Yeah. Do you like them? I do Sam, I am. And here it is, right as you enter Seuss Landing
from the port of entry, just to your left, you can't miss this big green ham.
Green Eggs and Ham on the list today. Nikki is going to order a dish and let you know what she
thinks of it. She's going to try them, try them, and she may like them. For $9.99, here's our Green
Eggs and Ham. It comes with tater tots, green eggs, white cheese, and ham. So Green Eggs and Ham,
again, a unique item. You can't just leave your house, drive down the road, turn left,
and get Green Eggs and Ham. Maybe turn right. No, I'm just kidding. That's what's on the list. Now,
I'm not saying everything on the list is the best food in the park, but it's kind of the
most unique stuff at the park. Yeah, it is. So what did you think of Green Eggs and Ham? Honestly,
to me, it was really, really good. I was surprised. I've had different versions of it.
I never really got Green Eggs and Ham. And this one, I was like, okay, I'm going to do the iconic
version. And it wasn't overly salty or anything. It was really, really good. Because in the past
year, you've had the who hash. Yes, and I've done it without meat and things like that when I was
trying to go pescatarian for a little while. But I did do it with ham, and it was great. So you had
the classic Green Eggs and Ham, and it was pretty good this time, you said? Yeah, it was awesome.
I've had very end results. Really? I have. I've had it before. Sometimes the eggs weren't as good,
but your dish looked good. So I didn't try it, but it was cooked perfectly. So it's really good.
So beware. I mean, it could, your results may vary, put it that way. But it's iconic. You got
to try it. Like I said, you're not going to drive down the road from your house and find it unless,
unless you live right here like we do. And now it's time to move on to the next
official item on the countdown. It's going to be a very iconic theme park dessert.
It's iconic at a different theme park, but it's actually available here at Islands of Adventure.
Let's go check it out. That's right. The Pineapple Dole Whip. Famous at Disney. It's actually here
at Wimpy's. I think I'll get it in a cup today. The price for the cup is $3.99, while the cone
is $4.49. The Dole Whip, very refreshing on a super hot day like today. Sure.
I do prefer a float though. Do you? They don't offer the float. It's just in a cone or a cup here.
Right. But I like the float better. Right. I like Dole Whip when it's mixed with vanilla.
You like the swirl. Yeah, I like the swirl the best. To me, it's a little too tart.
So I kind of like, you know, the smoothness vanilla adds to it. I can see that. I can see that.
I like it either way. And I should note, you can get this at Studios at Schwab's when Schwab's is
open. Right. It's not open right now, but there you go. An iconic theme park treat, the Dole Whip.
And now to head back to Universal Studios for the last two items,
if I'm doing my math correctly, the last two items on today's Rick's Top 6.
Item number five on today's countdown. I think we're number five. It's going to be some
adult beverages. Now over in Springfield, you can get, there's a couple I can recommend,
the Flamingos, but most definitely you want to get a Duff beer. You get a regular Duff beer or
Duff beer light. Now you can get a draft Duff beer light or regular for $10.99. If you want it in a
souvenir mug, that's going to be $13.99. Or you can get Duff beer regular or light in a bottle.
And the bottle is just $8.49. So that's pretty unique. You can't pull into your grocery store
and get yourself a Duff beer. But what's more unique than a Duff beer? What I named as the
best alcoholic drink, the best adult drink at Universal, the Ocean Attack. So what we'll do is
we'll cut in a little clip of our buddy Murphy showing you the Ocean Attack. Now the thing is,
it's not just an adult beverage. It comes with a show. That's why it's unique.
Here it goes.
Thanks Murph for the puppet show. Great as always, but now we need to move into Diagon
Alley for the last item. Number six on today's list of unique foods and drinks you really should
try at Universal. So number six on today's list is going to be the Cauldron Cake, which if you're
in Diagon Alley can be found at Sugar Plums. But if you're in Hogsmeade over at Islands of Adventure,
then you would want to go into Honeydukes for your Cauldron Cake. So for $11, get your very own
Cauldron Cake. It comes in a cauldron that you can reuse, right Nikki? Yeah. And on the bottom of
this, it does give you instructions for reusing the cauldron to make your own Cauldron Cake,
right Nick? Yes. So a very nice little thing to have while you're here, while you're home, and
in the future make your own. Here is what ours looks like out of the box.
A lot of icing on top, just beware. But the cauldron here, this is what you get to keep.
And like I said, in the future follow those instructions on the box and fix your own at home.
Oh boy, what an expensive and fattening day. And we didn't even buy everything. No. But let's see,
can we give you a rundown? Between the two of us, can we remember six things and honorable mentions?
Probably not. I'll start with the honorable mentions. Chicken and waffles and the jacket
potato. Okay. And you go the first three items on the list. All right, so green eggs and ham. That
was one. Crusty burger, wimpy burger. Yes. And buttered beer and squishy. There you go. I got
my three. And then the rest of the list, they were, oh my goodness, they were the Dole Whip.
They were, oh, the Ocean Attack and Duff Beer. And then the last thing, the cauldron cake.
We did it. We did it. And with all that being said, don't miss the magic, don't miss the fun.
Don't miss the magic. Don't miss the fun.
