Good morning MMW family! In this weeks video, it’s a shop with me as I head to Restoration Hardware outlet in LA. My husband and I road trip to find some pieces of furniture for our new master bedroom project!
Hi guys and welcome back to my channel.
If you are new, welcome.
My name is Hannah and I'm Mom's Muscle and in this week's video, you guys, it's kind
of just to catch up with me and yeah, take you guys along for some things that I'm working
on here at my house and show you guys what the next project is and whatnot.
But if you guys caught my last video, I'm not only show you guys some projects that
we finished here in the house as far as renovations go, but I also explained that I started a
new job.
So I used to work for Lululemon.
I worked for Lululemon for the past four years and unfortunately with COVID, certain things
happened so now I have a new job and I'm now with Restoration Hardware, which I'm super
excited about.
I feel like I basically, I basically went from like one shopping issue to the next.
So meaning like, I feel like my whole paycheck went to Lululemon product and now my whole
paycheck is going to Restoration product.
So it's like swapping one issue for another, I know.
Really bad.
But yeah, so I started to this, I'm in my third week and I love it.
I work at the outlet here in San Diego where I'm helping with sales and just helping people
pick out the right pieces of furniture or if they're looking for something in particular,
I've been helping with that as well as we help with loadouts as well.
So once people buy furniture, if they need help loading it into their vehicle, I help
with that as well.
So no joke, in the two weeks that I have worked there, I posted every single thing in my room
for sale.
So a little bit of a backstory for that, you guys, we moved into our house almost a year
ago in September and my previous house style was very glam, very glittery, very mercury
glass, silver, gray, everything.
And moving into this home, I have a completely different style, which I really do love this
my style now.
I think it's timeless and very fun.
So I am slowly selling off the rest of that Z Gallery mirrored stuff and the remaining
stuff was in our bedroom.
So now that I'm at Restoration Hardware, I'm like, perfect.
I'm not only tempted every single day, I go into work to buy something, but this has kind
of pushed me to get rid of that stuff that I no longer want, which is the mirrored stuff.
So I posted every single thing in our bedroom for sale and I'm replacing everything.
So I've already purchased nightstands, I purchased a new dresser, I just sold the chandelier
that was in our bedroom.
So yeah, so I'm basically redoing our entire bedroom and obviously I'm going to be buying
furniture for the rest of the rooms that are empty here in our house.
But one thing that's really cool with restoration is that I can actually, if there's a certain
item that I'm looking for, and even for you guys, you can keep this in the back of your
mind if you guys have an outlet next to you.
If you guys have an item number from the website, restorationhardware.com, if you have their
item number, you can actually call an outlet to see if they have it prior to even going.
So if you're on the hunt for something super particular, you can always just give them
a call prior to going.
So long story short, there's a bed that I have my eye on that I want to replace our
current bed with and Culver City in LA has one in stock.
So I believe Con and I are going to make a road trip.
I think our grandma Oma is going to watch Ryder because it is a rather long drive for
us round trip and kind of head up there and take a look at not only what they have, but
see if I can't purchase the bed that I have had my eye on.
So I'll probably take you guys along for that, but I just kind of wanted to chit chat with
you guys and if you guys are a restoration hardware lover and you guys want some ideas
as far as inspo or dupes, I do have a lot of dupes as far as styling goes and items
that I've picked up that are very like RH inspired without the price tag of RH, let
me know and I can definitely put a video like that together for you guys and yeah.
So hope you guys enjoyed this video.
Make sure to like, comment and subscribe.
Make sure to hit that bell button for every time I upload a video and as always, thank
you so much for your guys's love and support and all the new subscribers that have joined
the Mom With Muscle family and if there's something you guys want to see, if you guys
have any video recommendations, leave them below.
I know that my channel is kind of all over the place and I didn't want to just kind of
dial me into being just home or just baby or whatever.
Like this is my life and I'm just recording what it is that feels right in the moment.
So that's what this channel is about and as always, again, thank you so much for all the
new subscribers and yeah, we'll see you guys in my next video.
All right YouTube, I wanted to update you guys.
So this is my next project.
This is our master bedroom and I obviously, if you guys have been with my channel, you
guys will know that my style has changed dramatically from my old house.
So in a nutshell, this is the style that I loved.
I loved mirror, I loved gray, I loved everything Z gallery and I'm over it.
Now that I work at Restoration Hardware, it's like pushing me to want to change these things
that I'm no longer happy with in our house.
So this is our master bedroom and I just sold our dressers that were on the side.
These are new dressers.
These are from Restoration Hardware.
They are their herringbone line in kind of like a gray wash brown, gray wash wood and
I purchased the matching nine drawer dresser.
So this room has a lot of work to do.
I'm planning on painting our whole room white.
I want to do a big 60 inch round mirror over our dresser.
I want to do another faux tree in the corner, probably olive.
I love my olive as you guys know.
I sold the chandelier that was in here and we're replacing the bed with a white, white
fabric bed.
I want to do a big rug here, two accent chairs in white and possibly a photo or picture of
some sort above the bed once we get our new frame.
But this is currently my next project that I am slowly working on.
But yeah, I just wanted to kind of show you guys the progression of this project.
Here is my mess of a dining room.
So these are selling.
These are what I originally had.
These are by Pier One.
Super, super cool.
Just not my style anymore.
We had two of them.
So someone is picking that up today.
I have a box of old glam decor that someone's grabbing today.
And then this was the chandelier that was in our bedroom that someone is also coming
to grab today.
So this is from Z Gallery.
It's kind of like a gunmetal chandelier.
Really pretty.
Again, just not my style.
So yeah, one era is closing and a new one is opening.
What do you think, Bugs?
Yeah.
Alright, so I just got back from restoration.
We got a shipment yesterday.
So my girl that I work with makes sure to let me know what we're getting in.
And we got a truck that had some accessories on it, which is kind of rare for an outlet.
So she put this aside for me.
So I picked up this little stone vase.
Isn't that cool?
Really like super thick, super solid.
And then that's the price.
And yeah, so I'm going to find a little spot for this little gem.
Isn't that fun?
So I'm going to try to find a dupe for this for you guys.
So stay tuned for that.
What is up, YouTube?
So we are on our way to Culver City.
Con and I live in northern San Diego.
This is exactly why Con and I don't live in LA.
Because of nonstop traffic.
You can't drive.
Nevermind, don't because it would get very inappropriate.
I don't think YouTube will allow that.
Every time we come to LA, on like the rare occasions we ever come, 9 times out of 10
it's traffic nonstop.
Well, there's an accident, but we're super close.
What?
Well, that's why there's traffic because people can't drive.
Accidents.
Alright, let's go look for a bed.
This is a good one.
Alright, so this is what we drove up here for.
This is the bed that I want.
This is the Medina, I believe it's called.
It's clearance.
It's on clearance, and I actually get an additional discount with my RH employee discount.
So it's two pieces, so that's what we came up here for, but we are obviously going to
shop around because they have a lot of good stuff here.
He's just into it as much as I am.
He just won't admit it.
Look at this chair.
That is frickin' cool.
Not my style, but super fun.
I bought another olive tree.
Snagged this one.
Alright, so we just got home.
We got our bed upstairs and our tree upstairs.
Going to disassemble this guy and get this out so we can get the new bed in.
But with this bed, part of the reason why it was on clearance is it's a little bit dirty.
So I picked up Folex, which I don't know if you guys have ever heard of this stuff, but
it's really incredible.
So I'm going to give it a deep clean and go from there.
Alright, I'm going to show you guys how this Folex works.
So this is a carpet and spot remover and it was actually recommended to me by the people
that work at Restoration Hardware.
So again, part of the reason why we got this bed frame at a clearance is because obviously
you can see it's got a little bit of dirt on it.
And for the average person, they don't want to deal with it.
But for me, I am a person looking, trying to save some money.
So I use this Folex.
I'm going to try to use one hand.
You do like a really generous amount on this, okay?
And then you just take it and just massage.
Again, just like massaging it.
Sorry, again, I'm trying to do this with one hand.
And you guys will see that it's disappearing.
Again, so if you guys see something that maybe has just like a little bit of discrepancy
on it, like don't just disregard it.
If you have the patience for it, just give it a good little spot clean.
So obviously it's damp because I just soaked it with that stuff, but that black is out.
So this just needs to dry and it's as good as new.
So again, I have some other spots that I have to go over with this bed because there was
just a little bit of black on it.
But obviously as you guys can see, it can be cleaned.
So if you're looking for a good, just upholstery cleaner, pick up this stuff.
It's awesome.
Here is the bed finally assembled.
We have a lot to do.
I'm planning on getting new bedding and I want to do some sort of picture above this.
Obviously chandelier, rug, two accent chairs, and I want to do a big mirror here.
Sorry for the mess and decor obviously.
But there is the tree that we got today and the bed.
So this is definitely going to be a work in progress.
And these are the spots that I cleaned.
So they're really wet right now, but that's it for this week's project.
So that's it for this week's video.
I hope you guys enjoy.
It's a little bit different than my normal videos.
I don't really do shop with me, but I figured it'd be kind of fun to take you guys along
since I never go to LA and it was a really cool opportunity to go shopping there at the
outlet.
Let me know if you guys like videos like this or if you guys want to see me put together
restoration hardware dupes.
Obviously not everything in my home is restoration.
I love mixing inexpensive pieces with expensive pieces to give it a really cohesive, beautiful
look.
And yeah, stay tuned for more updates on my bedroom.
Obviously as you guys know, this is my next project and getting rid of a glam bedroom
to a more modern, sophisticated bedroom, something that's a little bit more timeless.
So I'll be updating you guys on that progress and yeah, love you guys.
We'll see you guys in my next video.
Peace.
