These French crepes are delicious and easy according to Allrecipes member Steffi who
says, we love putting fresh fruit in them for breakfast or making a protein-filled scrambled
egg and ham mixture for dinner.
She adds that simply sprinkling sugar on one is a treat as well and says she'll make this
recipe again and again.
To get started, place a sifter over a medium bowl and add one cup of flour, one teaspoon
of sugar, and a quarter teaspoon of salt.
Sip these dry ingredients together.
Crack three eggs into a large bowl, then add two cups of milk.
Some Allrecipes members suggest adding a teaspoon or two of vanilla extract if you're going
to be serving the crepes for dessert.
Use a mixer to beat the eggs and milk together.
You can also use a blender.
Then gradually add the flour mixture and beat the batter until it's smooth.
Add two tablespoons of melted butter and mix it until it's just blended.
Heat a crepe pan or a non-stick skillet with low edges over medium-high heat and lightly
grease it with a little butter.
Pour two tablespoons of batter onto the pan, quickly tipping and rotating the pan to spread
the batter out as thinly as possible into a round shape.
Let the crepe cook until it's ready to turn about two minutes.
If it moves around in the pan when you give it a little shake, it's ready.
Looks like this one is ready.
Flip it and it will only need about 30 seconds on the other side.
Continue cooking the crepe until it's golden brown on both sides.
Allrecipes members offer lots of creative suggestions for filling these French crepes.
Raspberries, bananas on the inside and powdered sugar and mint on top.
Try chocolate hazelnut spread, herbed cream cheese, ham and cheese.
The sky is the limit.
