September Days🍁🕯- crisp early mornings, cozy book shopping, & my autumn children's book collection

Good morning, friends, and welcome back to the studio. Today is another very exciting day as we have finally entered into September. We are finally entering into the coziest season of all time, autumn. And I am most excited. So, for today, I have so many cozy things planned. I have to really gear up and get ready for autumn and inspire you guys to get ready for autumn as well, I hope. So, this morning has been absolutely beautiful. It has been cold and crisp outside. It's been cloudy all morning. It actually kind of feels like fall. And it's really, really getting me excited for the day. And all of the wonderful things that I'm hoping to do today. So, first and foremost, I really wanted to decorate our little tiny home for autumn. Most of the decor I already have in there is pretty on theme for autumn because it's just my favorite color palette. And a lot of the things I already own kind of fit within that. But I also have a box of things that I've collected over the years. A couple of things I've picked up this year that I really like to cozy up the space even more with some fun fall things. So, I think that's going to be the first thing I want to do today because that's going to really get me in a good mood. And then I have some, I believe they're pumpkin, I can't remember. Something, a pumpkin spice or a pumpkin maple or something scone mix that I really want to make. I also want to go on a forest walk. There is nothing more invigorating and inspiring than a forest walk. So, absolutely going to do that today as well. And I'm hoping to maybe get in a little bit of painting. I have so many autumn painting ideas that I want to do and I've just been getting so inspired to do them that I'd love to do that today. And then I'd really just like to have a super cozy evening in the newly decorated space and light candles, make some autumn flavored tea, and maybe do a little bit of reading and watch a cozy autumn film or show or something. That just sounds like the perfect way to cap off this day. I'm just so excited. And I even put a little bit, I'll show you a close up, but I put a little bit of some dried florals in my hair to make me feel even a little extra whimsical. So, without further ado, let's get started. I try and forget. I just wait for my next one. Started from the start. Nostalgia is my second major art. These favorites that are mine. All the time. Always on my heart. Always on my mind. The days we were taught would never grow old here in Wichita. We were down by the river all through the night. Watching the stars in the city lights. Right from the start, said we'd never grow apart, dear Wichita. You wanted me to know, never ever let you go, dear Wichita. Surrounded by colors, it's such a sight. Watching all the lovers fall into the night. The moon's in a heartbeat. The same ground under our feet. Stars to shake with you all weekend. Winter turned to spring. I remember every Wichita. This town is on its knees. You know God is overseas. I'm telling you. Oh, it's more to this than what you see. You know this town's got the best of me. Are we sure it's the last time? Sure that this is the last time? We were down by the river all through the night. Watching the stars in the city lights. The same ground under our feet. Stars to shake with you all weekend. But we're caught inside. So we stay up till the morning light. The tales we were told, we were never Wichita. Well, it is now evening time. It has been such a lovely and full day. I didn't do everything that I was hoping to do. Some of the decorating and painting took quite a bit longer than I had anticipated. So I didn't get around to baking. But, big cedar sigh. He's ready for bedtime too. Regardless, I've had a wonderful day. It's been the perfect way to start out the month of September. And start out the coziest season of all. But, to finish off this perfect day, I thought, since the home is so cozy, I wanted to make a hot cup of tea. And light some candles. And watch some sort of cozy show. So I'm thinking Gilmore Girls. That one always just speaks autumn to me. And it's very cozy and nostalgic for me. So I might watch the first episode of that. And then I want to read a little bit before bed as well. On my last video, my friend Morgan and I went to Powell's. And I had picked up this book. Shady Hollow. It's kind of... So far, all I know is that it's a murder mystery set in a woodland community of little animals. And I've heard it's super cozy. I've heard it's really good. And I'm excited to try it out. So I thought that would be a perfect book to start out the month of September. I'm excited to get cozy. See the boys ready for bed as well.
