China’s 20th Party Congress To Kick Off Oct.16. At 'Crucial Moment'

China’s Politburo announced that the Chinese Communist Party’s 20th congress would be held in Beijing on Oct. 16. The congress is held every five years and is primarily an event to determine the next group of leaders for the ruling party. It is expected that Chinese President Xi Jinping will be reanointed for an historic third term.
