Crazy to think that this car was once blue and abandoned..

Our happiness let's toast
to life my dear where the wind
is a breeze and the
sky is clear with stars
what we need
For a rain shower a rain shower
Well it's been a few days
since the last episode and it's
a puck of a morning which is really nice Summer is coming
I don't have a car to
run but what do you do
There will come a day when that day arrives
But yes I'm painting the box
today I'm going to talk about
the spray guns used Both the base guns and the clear guns
Previously we talked about the supply weapons used
Let's go ahead
Well now we're just masking the
Toyota Supra and all the work you saw
in the previous episode and in this episode was done on the same day
As I said I was going to
separate the videos In the parts we made
So the first part was all the parts
Like the doors the gaps the shortcut and the covers
The second part is the box
The spoiler the fuel cover and the front cap
The front cap
There is only one cap this is not a Fiat Multipla
But anyway what are we doing now
It masks the front window opening
The cracks the fuel box
Along with the shortcut opening
Then we place a plastic
sheet on top make sure
everything is clean and dry then cut the areas
Obviously exposing all the areas we want to paint
and ensuring that the other areas we don't want to paint
are completely masked
Then when you think you're
clean Clean yourself a bit more And you're probably on the right path
So here Preston and I
We only use a cleaning solution
and grease With the
microfiber cloth to clean the car Its final cleaning before painting
Now some people
even use a water
-based cleanser To finish this
process before applying the
base I didn't do that this time
But in the next project I can
take a look and see if it makes a difference But so far we are
getting good results Doing it this way
Yes let's stick with what we know Now about the
microfiber sheets I mentioned
in the previous episode
Let's use cleaning sheets
But you end up going through a lot
And it's nicer with a microfiber sheet
The way she catches herself
and everything is a trick I
saw from motivated painters Now about the sheet itself
She is made by
Kirkland And if you are
doing gas cleaning
detail Ceramic colors
You can call it anything related
to detailing These are the best
microfiber cloths I have ever used And you can buy them at Costco
You go to eBay like I used to do in the past
So while I'm mixing the paint
Preston is just snapping the panels
And the whole inn
is this Esticadinho
All the cleanliness that came from the microfiber cloth
Or any sewage that may have dried up
This will go straight on
Then I can apply my base coat
Some people even snap the base coat
Sam told me not to do it
Because you can mix them
with the metallics and move them around so I never mind cracking the base sheet
Once it's dry instead I'll go straight to the cleaning sheet
and the job is done
Then here we go
I am applying the base coat And this is the Speeds Waterborne system
I will talk about the application gun in a moment
But again it's a 1.5 sheet
system It's a super
fast system As
you can see I have the whole car
separated I apply it in pieces
I put it back on there's no color difference I'm using a darker color
or primer if you want to call it
that but even if it
were a gray primer
It would still cover perfectly in 1.5 sheets
Being a darker color as well
It would probably cover much more easily
What you know yellows and reds and things like that
But man
This application gun the DeVilbiss DV1
It is a 1.3 HVLP Plus It is well
equipped The supplies
I am using are 10看不见
Then there's no reason I shouldn't get good results On
the base sheet
And as I said before it's 1.5 sheets
So as you can see
I placed the first sheet Now I'm going to
move the gun back a bit
while the panel is hot
I mixed my low sheet if
you want to call it that
it's also coat of arms and we have full coverage
We don't have stars everything is
okay and fair See how I'm changing
a bit faster now And these are
happy days So everything is ready
Now regarding the application
weapon the application weapon as I
said is relatively expensive was
I stuck by a change Not really
I don't have the most experience
to comment on a weapon for
application but I just wanted the
best base weapon money can buy
Just to avoid problems like we had
When I was painting the R-34 Skyline
For the first time
We had some problems in base stars and all kinds of
things so I thought if we
could eliminate these problems
With good supplies and proper equipment and a somewhat
good technique it's worth the
money so that's why I did it
Now if you're at home you're thinking "Look I really don't
want to spend 700 or 800 dollars
for a gun that's just a base "
Obviously you can also use
the base I just want a gun the
base and the base if you are
painting one or
two faces a year
And that's what I recommend after doing all my research
And that's also in my arsenal
It's the Eyewater W400
Now the one you should buy
It's the Belaria 1.3
Approximately 450 dollars
This will be your base your base
Going back to my R-34 Skyline
The second time I painted her
I used the Eyewater W400
But I had the 1.4
Type
And the nozzle was a bit damaged
It fell perfectly on the base
It fell perfectly on the base
So there's no reason
That a cheaper gun
Even the 1.4 with the nozzle
We still received the results we wanted
Then imagine buying a
new 1.3 and adjusting
it properly You won't
have any problems and
should have full confidence in the nozzle
It is a very simple and old nozzle
It makes the base and the light base
Now this nozzle can
also make primers
So you want a nozzle a bit firmer
Because the primers are firmer
So he needs to take it out of the nozzle
And adjust it to 1.8
In my case I have a designated one
Devilbiss cost 300 dollars
I don't remember the name
It's a 1.8 and it's the perfect size for a primer
Yes you can buy a separate
nozzle along with the liquid
type Eyewater which is 1.8
and there you have a weapon
What makes your base clear base and primers
I know I'm talking
a lot but the people I come here to
You just like to watch
This series of paintings
They will appreciate the information
And I put in a lot of effort
To really research
And watch several videos
From different content creators who are truly painters
To reach the conclusion
Of what I am telling you today
Then yes as you can see the
plastic is firmly attached you don't want
it to float when you are painting
That's it it's a bit loose on that rope
Wow what's happening
In front Preston your
No it could have been me it could
have been Preston But as you can see this is after about 15 minutes
The base rope is completely dry
And it doesn't seem much at this stage
So you need the clear string for it
to come to life And to make it
dry but as I said we're not doing anything
We're just skipping straight to the clear rope phase
So here we go I'm bursting
with energy on the clear
string and now it's time to bring this Deep Jewel Green to life
Then I'm using the same spray weapon the same
settings and the same clear rope as in the first battle
The only difference is that I've
adjusted my technique a bit As you can
see I'm moving much faster Than what I did with the doors and the slots
Where I made the big jumps
And we are not dealing with bigger jumps
We are dealing with a good finish directly from the weapon
We're not total we're bombing in 3 strands of light rope
This will give me enough material
To block this strand
And have that very good finish
After I finished polishing
Now even if I were the best painter in the world
You will still have a small amount of orange on the clear string
My biggest concern is not
making jumps because that takes more
work as for polishing and the clear rope
This isn't a problem because
I had already planned it Do it anyway
Now as you can see in the horizontal pots I'm
going a little slower because they
are obviously harder to jump
And this is the area where the sun always hits
It's the door the cracks the door
Obviously the clear string will fail in these areas
Then having a bit more material is
definitely good especially for a person
who is going to live in Australia
If you have already been to Australia
The sun here is very strong Today
I was out of the sun for two hours
With my jump rope I did all the
jumps on this rope And I got very hurt
Then what do you do
As for the color itself
Deep Jewel Green
I love I hate you may not like it
But you will probably become like me
You will probably start to
like it over time Personally
I have a screensaver This guy in the US is called J-Rod
He has a Deep Jewel Green
Toyota Supra I hated that color
before seeing the car The guy
runs in 7 Full interior box
Full iron car I'm sure
I think he doesn't have
any fiber panel And he jumps a boat with that
The car has about 1500 hp I love things
that aren't normal A
street car which I love
Nothing about garage queens nothing
about trailer queens None of that I can't
comment Because we're still in the
construction phase But once the cars are ready
Trust me the things we're
going to do with the cars
This won't be your normal Toyota Supra
And there it is
So let's talk about spray weapons Let's start with the base-coating weapon
It's the DVILBIS DV1
This is a 1.3 HVLP+
This is the PPS adapter so I can have my cups available
I didn't take the digital adapter
Instead I just use a regular gauge to check the pressure
I spray at 2 bars for the base coat
This is the earpiece section
So is the earpiece open or
closed I open it completely
As for the fluid I just turn it off until this small button almost comes out
Then I press the phone until it becomes firm
And I start to open it slowly
When I feel the phone isn't wanting to pull anymore
I stop
I turn it a quarter turn
back Then counter-clockwise
These are the sectors for the base coat gun
As for the clear this is the iblue W400 1.4 that I mentioned
We now have a PPS adapter for the available muzzles
But we have an extra section here
Basically this is how much air comes out of the gun
I open completely
Or even counterclockwise
Again we have a gaucho
And I open at 2.1
I think I'll open it at 32 PSI
That's about 2.1
bars Fully open
Or completely counterclockwise
The same goes for
the fluid If you are using it for the base coat gun
What I would do is open the fluid completely
Pull the phone
And start opening it until it stops
And that is enough for the base-coating weapon
And if you want to use the base-coating gun All
I do is turn it a quarter turn back
These are the clarity sectors
These are the base-coating weapons
Then again
It doesn't matter the damage or the project car
If you need any painting
Global Autocode is the place to go
They are practically one of the few companies in
WA that I know of at least
That carry these things
And also that sell directly to the consumer
Then other paint stores require that you have the complete system
So that you can access it
So being a small guy like me That
only paints a couple of
cars a year Or even a DIY guy Having
access to such painting or companies
It's really cool
So let's get started
Base coating and clear coating
What we are using is Speed
Base coating system as I mentioned
And this is mixed with an additive
Not with a thinner
That's what makes it a base-coating system I think
And some other things I don't know about
The way it is mixed is 5 to 1
Or roughly 20%
Then I take a 5-liter can of base coating
That would cover the bottom of the hat
The bottom of the shortcut
The complete exterior of the vehicle
Including all locks
And the base coating of the engine
So that's quite a bit of painting
And we still have I'd say about half a liter
For any adjustment
And the additive I use is 6050
I left obviously
Everything is mixed up
So I can't show the tin
Moving on to the clear-coating
We have the 8025
That's what I'm recommending
And what I'm using in all my cars
I love it A tin makes an entire car
Now the only problem is
You have to buy 2.5 liters of clear coating
Sorry it's an additive
So these two obviously mix
But really these 5 liters
They require 1.25 liters
While the minimum you can buy is 2.5 liters
Then really if you're going to paint a car
Maybe take the additive with your friend
Okay so you can take a small amount of each clear-coating
This way you can separate the cost of the additive
He doesn't just sit at the table
Then regarding the reducer Sam
told me I had to cool it down by 5%
Then it's just a 3380
Speed reducer
That's it
Very simple Spray fireworks
And all the supplies for painting
Everything's good so it's been a few weeks since I painted the Supra
And as I said before
YouTube and Instagram are a highlight reel
You really don't see the
mistakes And the problems you're
facing And I didn't film the video
right after we painted the car
I was a bit nervous Because
of the mistakes I made On both
doors and both gaps It's just
extra work that I now have to do
That I wouldn't have had to do
If I had taken the time with it
Or used my brain
And another mistake happened on the other side
A little plastic got stuck in a relatively cheap color
And I'm going to have to remove that
and repaint Fortunatelyuong it's just on the back of the car
Then it's not such a
big deal But it's just more work that shouldn't have been done any other way
And that leads me to my next point
I would like to have a
place to paint That exercise
is very expensive It also takes up a lot of space
E unfortunately I don't think I can justify the price of
buying a place to paint since
I only paint a few cars a year
It's definitely something to consider
In the future
Because after that I will be painting cars under my own roof
In an environment where I feel very comfortable Instead of
having to move the car several
times That's what you don't see
You only see me painting the car And
they are all happy days
But having to put the car to transport
Remove when I paint
Take it off to take it to work
Take it off again
So you can finish the car
Before the panels are put on
Then you can see
Even when the panels are completely
painted How often do they come in the
car and out And the potential for
spilling the panels It's very annoying
It's something I don't
like doing But it's
my only option
right now So I'm working with it
If the day is nice and I buy a spray
place I will appreciate that moment much more
Than just buying a spray place
It's good that we 're
going through a rental place
To have a
feeling For the struggles That's it I hope
to finish this with a good note
All the body work phase
It's complete
You won't see any body work For
a long time
Because of the black Supra we are using
As I mentioned before
I have already made a complete opening
For all the parts we will use on the car
And all the manufacturing supplies
They are arriving now
This weekend
I believe we are starting the manufacturing process
So next week
A 30-minute episode
Opening of all parts
And talking about how we are going to build
A 2JZ GTE engine
Together with the used transmission
Single turbo kit
And everything that goes to the Supra
Most parts are already there
And ready to go
It's just to build in
the black car Open it And when everything is finished
And this car is ready
for the transplant
We can put the engine in this thing
Finish it
Just as I said
I've said this plan many
times It's easier to say it's done
But this is the attack plan
I hope you like the video
Subscribe if you liked it
What you watch
I don't know
I'll see you next week
When I'm feeling a bit
better Rather than having to cut the
painting pieces Bye
