This is my third time coming to Meimei’s concert. I love it. She has a pure, sweet, and tender voice, most suitable for these old Shanghai songs. This time I got to listen to several of her original songs. Every one left me with deep impressions. One of them – “the Noble Refugee” – almost brought me to tears. This is so touching because of what’s happening in Hong Kong now and especially because of her own personal experience. She and the band work better and better together. Although she sang a lot of songs I’ve heard before, she also sang quite a few that were new to me. All of them are very moving. I have come every year and will do so as long as she holds her concert. Meimei, you are wonderful! We enjoy your concerts a lot! Please continue to hold them!
