This is MTV Evening News, live from our global headquarters in New York City.
Good evening and thank you for joining us tonight. I'm Chris Peters.
A drone flying too close at Palm Beach International Airport prevented the takeoff
of Air Force One as it was about to depart with President Donald Trump on board.
Helicopters scrambled to investigate the drone and secure the airspace.
The incident delayed takeoff of another plane. Delta pilots announced what was
happening to passengers on board the plane that was waiting to depart.
After a short ground stop, Air Force One was allowed to take off safely and
normal airport operations resumed. The Los Angeles Police Department
made arrests on Saturday after a protest turned violent against law enforcement.
Federal officials told CBS2 at least two people suspected of assaulting officers were arrested.
Protesters threw chunks of concrete at federal officers in downtown Los Angeles on the sidelines
of a No Kings demonstration. Federal officials said at least two officers were hit by concrete
chunks and required medical care. An LAPD incident commander declared a citywide tactical alert
around 5.10 p.m. after protesters began kicking a fence outside the Metropolitan Detention Center.
The authorities were using non-lethal methods to try to move the crowd back.
The alert ended around 8.00 p.m.
United States Attorney Bill Saley responded to the violence, posting on X,
quote, my office has authorized immediate arrests for anyone assaulting law enforcement.
You will be arrested and charged with a federal felony.
Next, in the Middle East, Iran warning the U.S. against possible ground operations after
more than 3,000 troops arrived in the region. At the same time, U.S. and Israeli forces continue
launching strikes against the Iranian regime. NTD's Jason Perry has the war update.
A television station in Iran said a missile hit its office building during a live broadcast on
Sunday. And as of Sunday afternoon, no one has yet claimed responsibility for the strike.
Meanwhile, Israel recently releasing footage of an Israeli fighter jet getting fuel from a U.S.
Air Force aircraft. The U.S. saying they've struck over 11,000 targets in Iran so far.
And the Israel Defense Forces saying they struck more than 140 military targets in
central and western Iran in the last 24 hours. An Israeli general saying this.
We hit very hard the entire chain of nuclear production in Iran. We hit everything from
the production capabilities in the factories, all the components to the centrifuges and beams and so
on. However, at the same time, Iran continuing to launch missiles at Israel as black smoke was
seen rising from a factory in southern Israel on Sunday. Fire and rescue services said there
were no injuries and that they evacuated people nearby as a precaution. Tehran also issuing a
warning to the United States against possible ground operations in Iran. This comes after
the U.S. said about 3,500 sailors and marines arrived in the region on Friday. And at the same
time, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. can achieve all of its objectives without U.S.
boots on the ground. This comes as Pakistan on Sunday saying they will host talks between the
U.S. and Iran in the coming days in an effort to end the war. The announcement coming after
Pakistan hosted leaders from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to discuss ending the war in Iran.
Meanwhile, the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group in Yemen has joined in the war against Israel,
purportedly launching two missile and drone attacks at Israel in 24 hours. Meanwhile,
Israeli troops continue to operate in Syria, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Lebanon against
Iran-backed terrorist groups. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying on Sunday
that he instructed the Israeli military to expand its security buffer zone in southern Lebanon.
This comes as Israeli forces continue to battle the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group.
Jason Perry, NTD News.
Joining me now to discuss the conflict in the Middle East is Senior Analyst for Middle East
Affairs at the Center for Security Policy, David Wormser. David, good to have you back on the show.
What do you make of the Houthi terrorist group joining this conflict in the Middle East?
Well, I'm surprised they waited this long to be frank. When Hezbollah intervened a few weeks ago,
I thought they would join pretty quickly afterwards. Some say it could be because
they were waiting for the end of Ramadan. But it was inevitable that they will because at the end,
the Houthis are an extension really of the Iranian military. Their power is entirely
derivative from it. They don't survive if Iran doesn't survive. So their joining, I think,
was in one way inevitable. But it was inevitable when Iran felt that it was losing options. And
I think their joining to some extent indicate that Iran is getting increasingly desperate.
Yeah. And to your point about their dependence on Iran, I mean, Iran is getting pummeled,
their military and their military industrial base decimated. What does that mean for the
strength of the Houthis and their ability to take action, say, to constrict shipping,
if they chose to do that? Well, it means that they have weapons at
their disposal now, but they have no resupply. There's no way that Iran can or has anything to
give them anymore. So when the Houthis fire a missile, that's one less missile they have.
And they do have limited supply. The Americans and Israelis are right there.
Somaliland is part of this alliance that Israel's crafted with the UAE over the last,
United Arab Emirates over the last months. The ability to hit the Houthis is significant.
So whatever threat they pose, it will degrade linearly all the way down very quickly. And
then they'll be without any weapons, any of these strategic weapons, and then they're
highly vulnerable to the Saudis. And so if the Houthis choose to constrict
shipping in the Red Sea, what impact could that have on the global economy?
Well, significant. Right now, for example, the amount of oil that Saudi Arabia pumps out
westward to the Red Sea to replace the closure of the Straits of Hormuz is about 7 million
barrels a day. It goes from the Gulf to the Red Sea near Jambu. And then it goes out through the
Straits, the Bab el-Mandeb Straits, which are between Yemen, where the Houthis are,
and Somaliland. So if that strait is closed temporarily, it means Asia once again does
not get oil. Right now they're getting oil, not enough, but they're getting it.
This would be a problem. And for that reason, I would imagine that the
straits would be reopened very quickly by a very aggressive action by Israel and America and
several other countries. Yeah. And continuing with that, back in spring of 2025, the U.S.,
in about six weeks after bombing, the Houthis got the Houthis to agree to stop attacking ships and
threatening travel in that area. Do you think we could see that? Do you think the Houthis will
take further action so far? From what we're hearing, they've launched two rockets. Yes.
Yeah, you're right. They launched two rockets today. They haven't launched any yet. Yesterday
they launched those. I think that they will face a consequence. I think for the moment,
unless the shipping gets constricted severely, both the United States and Israel won't
act for the moment, because at the end of the day, the priority is Iran and to move quickly
to get Iran's regime either fully paralyzed or toppled. And they know this is a distraction,
as is Hezbollah in Lebanon. So even though Israel is taking on missiles from both Hezbollah and
Yemen, in fact, more Israelis are being hurt and killed by missiles from Lebanon now than from
Iran. Despite that, the Israelis are very slowly moving ahead on the front in Lebanon,
slowly, because they're prioritizing Iran. And certainly the same will happen with Yemen
and the United States with Yemen. So I expect in the end Yemen will pay for this. It will be
dealt with decisively. But I would count on that being one of the last phases of the war, not now.
And you mentioned Lebanon, Israel, Israeli forces there.
What do you think, what do you see coming out of that in the near future?
Well, I think the Israelis, after 50 years, 60 years of war coming from Lebanon,
have decided enough is enough. It's a dysfunctional country.
And they will likely move their forces up to the Litani River, which is about 12,
between 12 and 15 kilometers into Lebanon. It forms a natural border, so to speak. The Israelis
will probably seize that area now that it's largely depopulated. The Shiite population
has fled for the moment. So it's not like Gaza, where you have a lot of people or so forth.
And Israel will hold it, and it may hold it for many, many years. Because until Lebanon
establishes itself as a functional country and can establish control over its border,
and no longer be a source for constant warfare, terrorism, missiles, and even attempted invasions
from Lebanon, Israel will probably hold that territory the way it held the Golan Heights
for these many years. David, let's look at this
senior minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, posting on X that Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships
to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. He calls this a step towards peace. What's your take?
No, it's a step away from peace. I mean, it sounds counterlogical because more ships are
going through, and that's a good thing. But what Iran is doing is it's establishing the principle
that it and it alone decides which ships go through the Gulf. And that's why we can't agree
to this as a confidence-building measure or as a step forward. The Iranians are making it very
clear Hormuz now is their sovereign territory, which it wasn't before the war, by the way. It's
a shared waterway. It's an international waterway. And they're now trying to seize their sovereign
control of it all in the context of this war. And by being the one who says, well, we will allow
this ship or that ship, they are actually trying to establish the principle they own that waterway.
So this is not a step forward. This is a step backwards, where the Iranians are trying to
assert imperial control. All right. And the USS Tripoli carrying 3,500 sailors and marines has
arrived in the Middle East. Let's watch Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussing, addressing
reporters about this. In terms of why there's deployments, number one, the president has to
be prepared for multiple contingencies, which I'm not going to discuss immediately. And again,
I refer you to the Department of War, who will probably tell you the exact same thing.
But we can achieve all of our objectives with our ground troops. But we are always going to
be prepared to give the president maximum optionality and maximum opportunity to
adjust to contingencies should they emerge. David, what do you think could prompt the US
to use ground troops in Operation Epicure? Well, I think this continued attempt to
establish Iranian sovereignty over the entirety of the Persian Gulf would be one. And then it
would drive the United States to use those forces perhaps to seize a few strategic islands,
the Tum Islands or Abu Musa, which would reopen the waterway. Because south of that,
you could use the channel, the water channel south of those islands to move ships,
even if the Iranians control the coastline to the north. Perhaps Karg Island too, because Karg
Island is where 90 percent of the oil coming out of Iran exits. So by seizing Karg, you essentially
seize all the revenue that this government of Iran depends on to survive. So it would also be
an act of destruction of the regime by stripping it of all funds and means of funding anything.
So I could imagine those two scenarios. But we're talking islands separated completely from the
mainland, the definition of an island. But I wouldn't imagine American troops showing up in
Tehran. And I would not think that would be a very wise move. Does it concern you? I mean,
that potentiality? I mean, we are talking potentials now. But if US troops are on the
ground, they obviously become targets and could potentially significantly escalate things if they
get killed, you know, in serious combat operations. Well, yeah, that's one of the reasons
why you don't want to put them in the mainland, even along the coast, because the Iranians would
use their position adjacent to that to launch an insurgency. And that would be very dangerous.
The thing about islands is they are defendable and they're not very prone to insurgencies if
they're largely unpopulated. That said, one has to remember the Iranian regime is hated by its
people to have a very effective insurgency. It has to ensure that there's large amounts of
population under our control from which they could base an insurgency against us.
And what we're seeing is the Iranians really, really do hate the regime. So that would make
life difficult for such an insurgency for Iran. But they would be able to do it if we're adjacent.
They can always find some people to send forces, send their guerrillas against us to kill us.
So that is why I'd be very cautious. And I think the US government is going to be very cautious
in actually deploying any troops onto the mainland. All right, David Wormser,
thank you so much for joining us. It's always great to have your insight. Thank you.
Next, sources close to China's foreign ministry told the Epoch Times that Beijing is disappointed
by Iran for how it treats Chinese vessels at the Strait of Hormuz. Here are the details.
According to the source, China's foreign minister Wang Yi was tasked with talking to Tehran,
requesting Chinese vessels' safety in the waterway. But Tehran responded that they
can only guarantee the safety of certain Chinese vessels shipping goods to Iran,
not all of them. For safety reasons, the source prefers to stay anonymous.
The source pointed out that Tehran might be pressuring Beijing for military support.
According to a separate source close to the Chinese Communist Party's diplomatic circles,
China and Russia have been offering advice to Iran, but Iran is refusing to accept any
diplomatic arrangements. Tehran's current core demand is seeking military assistance.
China analysts argued that providing military assistance to Iran would undermine Beijing's
credibility as a neutral mediator. China is now trapped in a geopolitical dilemma.
Zooming out, the Strait of Hormuz is a key waterway for global trade. The closure of
the strait could spell disaster for Chinese manufacturers and exporters. On Friday morning,
two vessels linked to Chinese state-owned Costco shipping were again blocked from crossing the
Strait of Hormuz. Coming up, a historic moment in Boston Harbor as the USS Massachusetts
officially joins the Navy fleet. The new fast-attack submarine brings
cutting-edge firepower and honors the Bay State's deep maritime legacy. Stay tuned.

Welcome back. The U.S. Navy has a new addition to its fleet. The USS Massachusetts was officially
commissioned in Boston yesterday. It's marking a major milestone for the Navy's newest class
of fast tack submarines. Take a look. The USS Massachusetts is now part of the Navy's fleet.
Following a commissioning ceremony in Boston Harbor, the Virginia-class fast attack submarine
is built for stealth and strength, capable of diving more than 800 feet and carrying Tomahawk
cruise missiles. It's the 25th submarine in its class and the first of its kind named after the
Bay State. State leaders say the moment reflects both the storied history and the future of U.S.
naval power. Submarine you never see operating in waters you can't track is one of the most
powerful forces for peace that this nation has ever built. It's a powerful force for deterrence
to prevent wars from happening because America should be spreading peace not starting wars.
The submarine was built jointly by General Dynamics Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding,
costing over 2.8 billion dollars. On board is a crew of nearly 150 sailors including 39 women.
It highlights how the Navy continues to evolve years after lifting the ban on women serving
on submarines in 2010. Officials have not said where the USS Massachusetts will be deployed next
but as it joins the fleet it carries on a long naval tradition while preparing for the challenges
ahead. TSA agents will get paid again starting Monday. President Trump signed an executive order
last week that would allow them to get paid despite the partial government shutdown. Will
that ease the long security lines at airports though? Here's more. Frustrated passengers waiting
in long security lines at airports across the country as busy spring travel is underway. All
the way down, all the way to the other side. At Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport
some passengers say they arrived well before their domestic flights Sunday morning. My flight's at
9 47. And what time did you get here? I just got here at six o'clock. The long lines at airports
are due to staffing shortages. TSA agents have gone without pay for six weeks as Congress holds
up funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Many TSA agents are calling out because they're
struggling to afford things like gas and child care. It feels like a hostage situation because
we're not being paid. President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday that would allow TSA
agents to start being paid Monday despite the partial government shutdown. But it could take
a while for agents to actually receive that money. Just like last time it took some people a couple
months to finally get their time card corrected and get finally paid. A DHS spokesperson says more
than 500 TSA agents have quit since the partial shutdown began February 14th and thousands have
called out. The nationwide shortfall in airport security staff could mean continued long lines
for passengers. The White House sent Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to various airports
this past week. White House Borders are Tom Homan gives his take on the dispute in Congress over
funding ICE agents as the Department of Homeland Security continues to go unfunded. He spoke about
what he's hearing from Democrats. And look, I've been on Capitol Hill talking to both sides and
bottom lines. They want changes in ICE tactics. They want changes in policies. Look, the same laws
that ICE follows today, the same laws about immigration enforcement have been in place
during a Clinton Obama. And now the laws hasn't changed. And the things we're talking about,
they want to prevent ICE from doing their job. They can say they don't want to abolish ICE.
I'm in the room. They want to change operations so we arrest less people. Homan also gave his take
on the danger of not paying all the agencies that operate under the Department of Homeland Security.
He said that even though ICE is getting paid, many other agencies that coordinate for national
security are not. And even mission and support workers that aid ICE agents are not getting paid.
Hundreds of TSA agents have quit their jobs since not being paid. This has impacted air travel
significantly. Homan gave an overview of how ICE is stepping in to handle tasks at airports. He
also addressed the issues some politicians have with ICE at airports in regards to the jobs they
do. The facts are, every place we send ICE officers, the lines have decreased and they
need to decrease more. Look, they're checking identification before you go to screening.
We're not going to have an ICE officer looking at x-ray images deciding what bags need to be
secondary. That's a high level of training. But we can check IDs before they get to that machine.
We can cover exits to make sure that people don't enter through the exits. That takes that
TSA agent off that security line and put him on an x-ray machine. We're plugging other security
holes. We want to keep the airport safe. So we're doing the job TSA is asking us to do
so their officers can get back to main screening. Food stamp recipients in Florida,
Texas, and West Virginia will face restrictions on buying certain kinds of less nutritious items
like soda and candy, some starting in April. Here are the details.
The Trump administration is clamping down on soda and candy being charged to food stamps.
As 22 states have been approved to restrict certain purchases, the restrictions still
require state approval before taking effect. Kansas, Nevada, Ohio, and Wyoming were the
latest states to receive federal approval for the restrictions. The Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, had 40.7 million people participating nationwide
at a monthly cost of $7.97 billion as of November 2025. The Agriculture Department stated on its
website that it's empowering states to ensure taxpayer dollars provide nutritious options that
improve health outcomes. Starting Wednesday, SNAP restrictions for Texas residents won't allow
them to buy candy bars, gum, and taffy, along with nuts, raisins, or fruits that have been candied,
crystallized, glazed, or coated with chocolate, yogurt, or caramel. Nonprofit advocacy group the
Food Research and Action Center is opposed to these kinds of restrictions. It says policing
food choices is ineffective, undermines American values, and worsens food insecurity.
After the break, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says he is making the chaplain corps great again.
We discover his efforts to restore the division of religious leaders in the military to its intended
purpose. What if you could whiten your teeth by simply brushing your teeth? Now you can,

My 15 year old son Ethan and I had a fun and relaxing morning. We returned home and Ethan
walked to his best friend's house an hour later. I heard the ambulance scream by the street
carrying my beautiful boy. Ethan was shot in the head in his best friend's house with an unsecured
gun. He had zero chance of survival. The father, the gun owner, he stored his three guns and bullets
in a shoebox. How do you feel? That has to be the most horrific experience that a human could ever
have. David, would you give any advice? First thing you do is not keep your ammunition with
your weapons and that your weapons need to be locked at all times. Welcome back. Secretary of
War Pete Hegseth defending religious freedom in the military. He shared an update about his efforts
this week. The Chaplain Corps is a US military branch composed of faith leaders who provide
religious, ethical and moral support to service members. Joining us now to discuss his former Navy
Chaplain and TV show host Gordon Klingenschmitt, also known as Dr. Chaps. Dr. Chaps, thank you so
much for being here. The War Secretary says, quote, we are still making the Chaplain Corps
great again. Watch. As I reported to you in December, in previous administrations,
our Chaplain Corps was infected by political correctness and secular humanism. The core
functions of the Chaplain Corps were changed and watered down until they were viewed by many as
nothing more than therapists. Faith and virtue were traded for self-help and self-care. All right,
you have firsthand experience with the Chaplain Corps and the need for reform there.
Please tell us your story and what it reveals about this military division.
Well, thank you, Chris. I'm honored to be here. And I am so pleased with President Trump's
leadership and Secretary Hegseth's call for restoring the Chaplain Corps. Unfortunately,
they're 20 years too late. In 2006, I was a Navy Chaplain, and I was one of 70 chaplains who were
suing the military under the Bush 43 administration. Because if you were Baptist or if you
were Pentecostal and you dared to pray in Jesus' name, you couldn't get promoted. And in fact,
they sent me to a misdemeanor court-martial. They wrote a bad policy in 2006 saying that
chaplains who pray in Jesus' name outside of church can be punished by their commander.
Well, I decided to take a stand. I stood in front of the White House in my Navy uniform,
and I prayed in Jesus' name on national television. So I broke the law, and they punished
me at misdemeanor court-martial. And I lost a 16-year career as an officer. I lost a million
dollar pension. But here's the good news. 85% of the people agreed with me. 300,000 Americans
petitioned Congress. Congress changed the bad policy, and now the chaplains can pray in Jesus'
name. At least on paper, we have religious freedom. The problem is there's been a cultural decline,
and chaplains are still being censored and punished.
All right, and tell us about that. What are you seeing today?
Well, there are several examples. Just a year ago, there was a chaplain who received a letter
of reprimand from one of his Facebook posts against transgenderism. There was another chaplain
who was denied promotion and reassigned because he expressed his personal political views,
not even in front of the troops, just when people have their sermons being censored in the chapel.
And also veterans chaplains. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, former Congressman Collins,
has done a great job, but there are chaplains being censored in the VA hospitals because
they talk too much about Jesus or they quote the Bible, and that's not politically correct.
If somebody is easily offended, they complain to the commander, and the commander can punish
the chaplains. What we need to do is punish the commanders. If they dare to violate the
religious freedom of a chaplain, that commander has violated his oath to the Constitution,
and they should bear the consequences. Yeah, I mean, this sounds like a First
Amendment violation. Is it not? It is a First Amendment violation. The problem is
the admirals, when I was in the Navy, and even some senior chaplains, they think that they are
God. They think that the institution is higher than the Constitution, and so they rallied to
defend the institution. That's why I'm pleased that Secretary Higgseth is removing rank insignia
from chaplains' uniforms. Chaplains should go there to serve Jesus and to save souls.
They should not go into the military to attain higher rank or to flash their power or to give
commands to young sailors or soldiers. That's not the job of a chaplain, and Secretary Higgseth is
right on when he says that we need to get back to being shepherds and pastors for the flock
and bring spirituality, whatever your faith, whether it's Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, etc.
The chaplain is the representative of their faith group, not the representative of the rank or the
commanding officer, as if they have so much power. Those are the Pharisees talking. We need pastors
and shepherds. All right, and Secretary Higgseth makes a distinction between the chaplain corps
and military therapists. How are these two different in practice, and why is the chaplain
corps important? Well, the military already has psychologists and psychiatrists. There are
professional medical doctors who provide those services. They don't have, unless the chaplain
is present, they don't have a spirituality to their practice. For example, the job of a chaplain
is to provide for members of their own faith, that is, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ
in the chapel on Sunday. And the reason that's constitutionally required is because sailors
don't forsake their religion when they go to war. So somebody's got to go with them to help them
practice their faith, whether it's to serve communion if you're a Roman Catholic priest,
whether it's to preach the gospel if you're Baptist or Pentecostal, or provide for other
sacraments if you're Jewish or other religion. Sailors have their constitutional right to bring
someone with them to facilitate those kinds of religious experiences. Now I want to come back to
something you already touched on a bit, the Secretary of War signing a memo last week
directing chaplains to replace their rank insignia, the rank that you see on their uniforms,
with their religious insignia. Here is the Secretary of War. Their rank will not be shown.
This speaks to the difficult balance of the duality of a military chaplain. A chaplain is
first and foremost a chaplain, and an officer second. This change is a visual representation
of that fact. Specifically unique to the role of a chaplain, they are first and foremost called
and ordained by God. And while they will retain rank as an officer, to those they serve their rank
will not be visible. Instead, they will be seen among the highest ranks because of their divine
calling. Can you explain the significance of this reform and what it can mean for active service
members and military chaplains? Yes, it is a change, but only an outward change of appearance. So for
200 years, an officer who is a chaplain would wear, for example, the cross of Jesus Christ on one side
of their collar and their military rank, maybe captain or lieutenant, on the other side of their
collar. Now that's going to change, and they're not going to show the rank. They're only going
to show maybe two crosses, or two menorahs, or however the symbol of their religion will be
more prominently displayed. I think this is a good reason, because there are two kinds of chaplains
that I met when I was a chaplain myself. There are chaplains who care about the flock, and they're
there to provide for their religious needs, and there are other chaplains who just want to get
promoted, and rank, and money, and power, and they want to throw their weight around as if they're
somebody important. That's not the model that Jesus taught us. Jesus taught us to be humble,
don't care if they salute you, don't care what your pay is, but we're all brothers,
and this literally makes the chaplains equal with each other, although some are higher
ranking, some get more pay. That's hidden, and what we'll show to the sailors is the humility of the
cross of Jesus Christ, that we're here to love you, and to provide for your religious needs, and we're
not here to throw our rank around. I think it's a good move. Dr. Chaps, what other reforms would you
like to see in the chaplain corps, and religious freedom in the military more broadly? I think
historically, and this is the reasoning behind the lawsuit by 70 other chaplains, is that senior
ranking chaplains, when they move up in the pay grade, when they throw their rank around, they
control the duty assignments, the promotion boards, and the life really of the junior chaplains, and
that is not their job. Those ought to be assigned to secular commanders. Commanding officers should
have control over who gets promoted, or how they are rewarded, or what kind of ribbons they wear.
Chaplains should not be commanding other chaplains, because we don't have the same religion. Back home
we answer to our civilian bishop, and not to a different chaplain of a different religion who
thinks that they're more powerful than we are. The junior chaplains, if they were Baptist or
Pentecostal, were not getting promoted for that reason, because the liberal chaplains had all the
rank, had all the power, and they controlled the duty assignments and promotion boards. That needs to stop.
And just closing on a different note, what is your message as a former Navy chaplain to U.S.
military members serving in Operation Epicurean in the Middle East right now?
Well, we are so proud of you. We support our troops. We have given our lives to serve with you,
to bring your faith to you, and make sure that your needs are facilitated. Even if you don't
share my religion, we all share the love of God in some way, and we all share our love of country.
So we pray for your success, we support you, and we're there to provide for members of our own
faith, facilitate for members of other faiths, and to care for everybody. The chaplains care for you,
and please come to us when you need true spiritual counseling, with a big T, the truth,
as Secretary Hicks just said. All right, Dr. Chaps, thank you so much for your time today.
Thank you, Chris. God bless you in Jesus' name. Cheers.
Next, police in the UK are investigating after a driver ran into pedestrians in the city of Derby,
severely injuring seven people. Authorities said earlier today the suspect is now in custody on
suspicion of attempted murder. And while counter-terror officers are helping with
investigations, the incident is not being treated as an act of terrorism.
Our investigation into the circumstances is still in its early stages.
A 36-year-old who lives in Derby remains in police custody, and he's being interviewed
by detectives. We believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no wider risk to the
public. The arrested man is originally from India, but has lived in the UK for a number of years.
At this stage, I am unable to give any further details about him.
The crash happened around 9.30 Saturday evening local time on a busy city centre street.
Police say a black Suzuki Swift struck multiple pedestrians before officers stopped the car just
minutes later and arrested the driver. The victims were taken to the hospital with serious
but not life-threatening injuries. Investigators say the suspect faces several charges, including
attempted murder and dangerous driving. They are now working to determine exactly what led up to
the incident. 12 tonnes of special edition Formula One Kit Kat chocolate bars went missing
in Europe last week. Swiss food giant Nestle said on Saturday that thieves made off with the truck
transporting the bars. Kit Kat, which is made by Nestle, said the truck carrying over 400,000 bars
set off from central Italy to distribute the chocolate throughout Europe, but never reached
its scheduled final destination in Poland. The vehicle and the merchandise remain unaccounted
for. Nestle did not reveal where exactly the truck was lost. The stolen bars were reportedly
from Kit Kat's new Formula One line, released after it was named F1's official chocolate bar
last year. Kit Kat said the missing bars are traceable via a unique batch code. Anyone scanning
the batch numbers of the stolen chocolate would receive instructions on how to contact Kit Kat.
The United States astronauts are traveling around the moon. Artemis 2 will carry four
astronauts on the first human moon mission since Apollo in the 1970s. NTV's Sean Marshall has more.
We're very much in the space race again. The launch of Artemis 2 is approaching.
The first human moon mission in more than half a century. So Artemis is our follow-up to Apollo,
and it's actually Apollo's twin sister is how we got the name.
And it's a mission to return humans to the moon. Really, the question is not should we go,
but should we lead or should we follow? It's very much about the future of humanity.
The moon has a lot of resources that we need to have access to.
First woman, first person of color, and the first Canadian are part of the crew flying around the
Artemis 2 crew members virtually answered reporters' questions from their quarantine
facility. Just to remind everyone, this is a test flight. This is the first time we're going to try
this. This is the first time we're loading humans on board. And I will tell you, the four of us,
we are ready to go. The team is ready to go and the vehicle is ready to go. And so one of the
neat things about this is a tradition we started is our families are outside the building when we
walk out. And so that is the moment that I'm going to get to tell them I love them instead
of sending a text message or a phone call. I get to tell them I love them.
We have to remember that this is a race. I mean, we are talking about getting access to a gateway,
being able to control, being able to have access to the universe. Whoever controls the moon
can control that access. And so I'm not suggesting that we have adversaries who would
deny access to the United States, but it sure would be nice to be there to make sure it doesn't
happen. But it's also a Rosetta Stone for how other solar systems form all the billions of
other solar systems in our galaxy, where we've seen from some of our other telescopes like Kepler
that there are planets orbiting other suns. All of this starts to unlock when you go to the moon.
And for me, that's that's one of the most important scientific reasons to go.
When we go back honoring just how humanity, we all share the same moon in the sky,
but honoring humans around the world and how they revere the moon, that's really important to us.
Artemis 2 is set to launch as early as Wednesday, April 1st. Sean Marshall, NTD News.

Welcome back. Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage for the fourth day in the Big Apple.
A year ago, we were saying they were captivated by Shen Yun's artistry as the fully packed David
Koch Theater in New York City's Lincoln Center. Audience members shared their reflections with
NTD, the event's media sponsor. Take a look. Shen Yun Performing Arts brought 5,000 years
of traditional Chinese culture to the stage at the David H. Koch Theater in New York City on March
28th. The company's mission is to present the beauty of China before communism. Shen Yun also
received a certificate of appreciation in celebration of the company's 20th anniversary
from Democratic District Leader Martha Flores Vasquez. You were exquisite. Your dancing was
perfection and just the way you showed the costumes, just the beauty of the way you made
everything flow, but they were exquisite dancers, exquisite. I don't think you'll get better than
that. It was just an amazing experience. There's been a number of years I wanted to do it and we
finally did it. The way all it's organized, the coordination, the precision, the colors, the music
is just a different experience. I think it's beautiful. It's nice to watch the culture very
well put together. It definitely keeps you entertained and engaged. The costumes are
beautiful. I'm enjoying it. Very inspiring. Yes. And the ability of the dancers is just
superb. Yeah. We enjoyed it very much. Since 2006, Shen Yun has traveled around the world
to revive this spirit of traditional Chinese culture, a heritage believed by ancient Chinese
people to be a gift from the divine. Theatergoers express their appreciation for Shen Yun's efforts.
Humanity at its best. It makes you want to be good. It makes you want to do good.
Because remember, there's life after this. And what they say in the one piece, you reap what
you sow. Well, takeaway, people need to watch what they're doing and do the right things for
the humanity. Shen Yun's performances also shine a light on the brutal persecution of faith in
modern China under the Chinese Communist Party. That's part of the reason why Shen Yun cannot
perform in China. I think overcoming obstacles, the plight to have the faith in themselves and
maybe God, I think that's something they overcome as far as righteousness. And I believe no one
should be suppressed. And I think that's a strong message that they're overcoming.
It's a very mature and wise message. The message from the show, the beauty, the together, the
good in people and trying to convey that message is very strong. And you can feel it at the moment
of the performance. The emotions just grow within you when you watch the show. So I really enjoy it.
Storytelling at its best. Exquisite. And you can you could feel the passion. You could feel it.
It was just it was fabulous. And I'm so glad I got to see it. You know, come and see it because
it's wonderful. It was wonderful. Shen Yun will continue to perform at the David H. Koch Theatre
in New York City until April 12th. NTD News, New York City. Officially opening today at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City is Raphael Sublime Poetry, the comprehensive
exhibition showcasing for the first time in the U.S. the Renaissance artist's greatest masterpieces.
Earlier this week, NTD was at the press preview before opening to the public. Let's dive in.
Raffaello Di Giovanni Santi, known as Raphael, was one of the greatest artists of the Italian
Renaissance. In his short life of just 37 years, he became famous as a painter, designer and
architect and was later seen as the perfect example of artistic excellence. Raphael was
renowned for his harmony, clarity and prolific production of perfected and classical beauty.
He is among the three great masters of the high Renaissance after Leonardo da Vinci and
Michelangelo. He is the youngest among the three. Raphael is a great master of beauty, of poetry,
of lyrical narration. And I think you can see with Raphael an eternal way of understanding
human relationships, the human condition, maybe also the longing of humans to a further ground.
So Raphael's works speak to us in a profound way, the same way as they've spoken to people during
his lifetime. This exhibition brings together over 170 of his masterpieces, many of which have
rarely or never been shown together before. It explores his entire career and highlights his
groundbreaking depictions of the female body and his beautiful Madonna paintings. It also features
new scientific discoveries about his techniques from the past reflecting beyond. I think that
although we have had almost a century of abstract art, that artists now today are coming back to
depicting the figure. So I think this is a moment, it's just the right moment to be appreciating
Raphael as a figure painter, as a draftsman of the human figure, whether it's women and men and
children. We see everything as perfect. It's essentially the result of, I don't know, 100
hours of perspiration to just see, you know, the one moment of perfection. From paintings to drawings
and tapestries, the exhibit Raphael Sublime Poetry will run through June 28th. Don't
miss it if you'd also like to check out the everlasting influence from one of history's most
beloved artists. Spring is in full bloom in Washington D.C. where crowds gathered yesterday
to take in the city's iconic cherry blossoms. The skies were also filled with color as kites flew
overhead. This festival is special to me because I get to see hundreds of kites in the air right
here in our nation's capital. And seeing a lot, lots of kites, you know, right close to home,
right with all the cherry blossoms makes it even more special. That color comes from the annual
Blossom Kite Festival near the Washington Monument where dragon and lizard-shaped kites filled the
sky. On the ground, visitors walked among peak-bloomed cherry blossoms, snapping photos of
the pink and white trees. The blooms draw roughly 1.5 million people to the capital each year.
