President Donald Trump takes his midterm campaign blitz to Texas, where Senate candidate Ken Paxton is locked in a tight race against Democrat James Talarico.

The Lone Star State has long been seen as a conservative bulwark—but Paxton, who defeated Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) in the GOP primary runoff, is far from guaranteed a victory against the Democrat from Austin. Conversations on the ground revealed support for, and opposition to, both candidates.

Former FBI Director James Comey has been charged for a third time. The Department of Justice alleging that he leaked a sensitive national security document to The New York Times in October 2016.

Comey reacted to the new charge in an Instagram video in which he said, “Well, they’re back again. It would almost be funny if it weren’t such an appalling abuse of the Department of Justice—one that we cannot become numb to.”
