Kim Jong Un has three purposes for his trip to China:
1. Weapons assistance
2. Military operations against Japan
3. Medical examination. A team of medical consultants from the Chinese PLA’s 301 Hospital arrived in Dandong last night.
Representatives from Russia have also traveled to China. The raw materials for the missiles Russia is currently using are supplied by China, while the missiles themselves are manufactured by North Korea.
Last year, China, Russia, and North Korea jointly developed contingency plans for military operations against Japan in the event of a sudden outbreak of war involving the three countries. These included assessments of potential military operations against Japan if it provided military assistance to Taiwan during a Chinese military campaign to “reunify” Taiwan by force.
The plan was still being revised when Zhang Youxia was in power.
Kim Jong Un will travel to Beijing, but it is unclear whether Chinese authorities will publicly report his visit.
