HYDE PARK – State Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide that took place in the Town of Hyde Park on October 6.
Nicholus Peterson, 31, has been charged with murder in the death of 71-year-old William Martin Wein.
Police had responded to a private home on Albany Post Road to conduct a welfare check and that is when they found Wein dead inside the residence.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office investigated and determined the death was a homicide.
State Police, Hyde Park Police and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office conducted an investigation and arrested Peterson on Saturday, October 17.
He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail pending future court action.
