WHITE PLAINS – Westchester County’s rape crisis hotline, which has supported residence with free, confidential, trauma-informed care since 2018, is now being expanded in a coordinated effort with Westchester Medical Center – WMC Health.

The new 24/7 hotline will connect victims of crime including domestic violence and sexual assault with immediate crisis intervention, advocacy and trauma-informed support, WMCHealth CEO Dr. David Lubarsky said.

“We are recognizing the transition of Westchester County’s domestic violence hotline to WMCHealth, which is now operating the service on behalf of the county, and we combine this with our sexual assault hotline,” he said. “When someone’s in trouble, when someone feels they haven’t been treated right, or they have had some degree of violence or sexual violence, there is just one place to call. It makes tremendous sense because the easier we make it for people to reach out and get help, the more help will receive.”

The new hotline number to call 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, is 833-220-2444.
