WARWICK – Police in Orange County have arrested a Town of Wallkill man on charges that he allegedly harassed and stalked several targeting victims over a seven-year period.
Patrick Panaro, 58, was arrested following a warrant search of his home. He was charged with harassment, aggravated harassment, and two counts of stalking. He was arraigned and released pending a future court appearance.
Police called the investigation complex due to his use of various platforms and techniques to conceal or disguise the originating telephone numbers, including blocking incoming numbers and displaying fake numbers of victims’ caller IDs.
The communications allegedly included sexually explicit photos, sexually explicit references, and threats of bodily harm.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who believes they may have been a victim of stalking or harassment involving Panaro is urged to contact the Town of Warwick Police Detective Division or State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Warwick Police conducted the investigation along with State Police, Town of Goshen Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
