SAUGERTIES – A traffic stop on Route 212 in the Town of Saugerties resulted in the arrest of a Charlotte, North Carolina man on weapons charges.
State Police pulled over a 2017 Nissan Sentra at about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7 and located an illegally possessed loaded handgun and a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
Jayvon Ward, 21, was charged with two counts of weapons posssession, was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
State Police were assisted in the investigation by Saugerties Town Police.
