CARMEL – Putnam’s semi-annual Passport Day Saturday was another success as County Clerk Michael Bartolotti and his staff provided passport information to Hudson Valley residents and accepted 53 passport applications.

During the pandemic, the event was limited to appointments, and only applicants and required parents or guardians could enter the office. Bartolotti said the approach “worked like a charm,” so the office kept it because it prevented backups and gave applicants a set arrival time.

Resident after resident commended Bartolotti and his staff for organizing the initiative calling them “wonderful public servants.”

Those who missed Passport Day can find application information on the County Clerk’s website at www.putnamcountyny.gov/county-clerk or call (845) 808-1142, ext. 49301.
