PUTNAM COUNTY- The Putnam County SPCA’s Great Giveback begins today.
SPCA Chief Ken Ross said the month-long collection drive will benefit the non-for-profit with donors dropping off cleaning supplies, office and operational items, gasoline gift cards, and monetary donations at the Reed Memorial Library in Carmel.
Ross stressed the drive is not a pet supply collection.
“Please do not donate blankets, beds, cat litter, toys or other pet supplies,” he said.
Putnam SPCA also accepts direct monetary donations.
The SPCA has experienced its busiest year on record in Putnam County.
During the first nine months of the 2026, the Putnam SPCA documented more than 2,000 blotter entries, a 14 percent increase from 2025.
