MIDDLETOWN – Middletown Mayor Joseph DeStefano and Common Council President Miguel Rodrigues are recuperating from injuries suffered when the vehicle they were in was broadsided on Route 211 in the Town of Wallkill last Sunday.

The two men were on their way to a meeting when a car went through a red light at the ShopRite store and t-boned their vehicle.

Rodrigues, who was driving was hospitalized for three days with a cracked sternum and ribs, and DeStefano, who was in the passenger seat, sustained airbag bruising to his arms, are resting at their homes, Rodrigues told Mid-Hudson News on Wednesday.
