POUGHKEEPSIE – The murder trial of Pawling resident Giuseppe Vassallo, 46, of Pawling is set to continue today before Dutchess County Court Judge Jessica Segal.  Vassallo is charged with murder and robbery for a March 2024 incident on Quaker Hill in Pawling that eventually resulted in the death of Nathaniel Viera.

The trial began earlier this month and has continued for more than one week.  Several key witnesses in the proceeding are expected to testify this week in the incident that allegedly began over a dispute over tools between Vassallo, John Sorrell, and the victim, Viera.
