YORKTOWN – Yorktown Police Monday set the record straight. There was no one who attempted to lure a child at a baseball game.
A police spokesperson noted, “The alleged incident did not happen. No one attempted to abduct, lure, or pick up a child from a Yorktown baseball game as described in the circulating post.”
Police added the post had caused “understandable concern among parents and other community members.”
The department urged residents to be cautious before sharing alarming information on social media, especially when it has not been verified by law enforcement.
