NEWBURGH – Newburgh City Councilman Robert McLymore hosted a law enforcement symposium Saturday with other regional police officials to help with efforts in his community.
“It’s basically about bringing the chiefs of police and also the sheriffs together so that we can have meaningful and impactful discussions that we can hopefully advance in our community,” said McLymore, who is also a lieutenant in the Wallkill Town Police Department.
“There are also ideas that may come abroad or may come that we can implement in this City of Newburgh,” he said. “Listening to other people and getting their knowledge and wisdom of they’ve been through and how they’ve conquered certain things and the concerns on their community, in their jurisdiction, can also help us if we can implement.”
And those discussions with other officials, hopes McLymore, will take their experience with matters and new ideas to help bring safer streets to the City of Newburgh.
