WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Vernon man has been sentenced in Westchester County Court to six years in state prison on charges stemming from the theft and sale of several firearms in 2025.

Zaid Lewis, 33, was also sentenced to five years of post-release supervision.

He pled guilty to two counts of criminal sale of a firearm and two counts of burglary.

The conviction stems from Lewis’ breaking into several units in a New Rochelle storage facility and stealing several items including three firearms, several boxes of ammunitions, pistol holders, and other personal items.

He later sold four firearms in Mount Vernon, including three that had been stolen from the storage units – a .38 caliber revolver and two 9mm handguns.
