PUTNAM COUNTY- A 24-year-old Patterson woman has received compensation for injuries sustained when she tripped and fell in a pothole on a Putnam County roadway.
The Putnam Legislature approved the settlement for Calistra Malstrom, the amount of which was not disclosed, at its regular monthly meeting this week.
According to the legal brief, litigation was commenced in 2024 and the Claims Committee of the New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal, Putnam’s insurance carrier, arrived at a negotiated settlement.
Following the meeting, Legislature counsel Heather Abisi told Mid-Hudson News that the settlement amount would be disclosed once County Executive Kevin Byrne signed the resolution.
As of late Friday afternoon, a legislative spokesperson said the executive’s office had not provided an update on the signing.
Byrne’s office also did not respond to an email seeking information about the litigation.
