TOWN OF WALLKILL – The American Latino Coalition, headquartered in Orange County, would like to develop a Latino cultural center.
Coalition founder and Chairman Ruben Estrada said he would like to see a facility in the center of the county that promotes the history, artistic, intellectual and social aspects of Latino culture.
“I think it would be a big value for Orange County. It would be a mecca for Latinos for culture,” he said. “I want this to be a true cultural center where you will be able to have cultural activities, performances and entertainment in a mini theater.”
Estrada also envisions a full kitchen where celebrity chefs can cook up their favorite dishes.
This weekend, the 11th annual Hudson Valley Fiesta Latina will be held at Rivers Edge Ranch on Stony Ford Road in the Town of Wallkill.
