Walt Ruff & Peter Dewar were previewing the upcoming 2026-2027 season for the Hurricanes on Hurricanes.com. With the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it is a grind to go through every single season. Well, there is an injury update for Jarvis as this season approaches. Ruff and Dewar reported,
”Seth Jarvis is expected to miss the start of the 2026-27 regular season due to offseason shoulder surgery. He is slated to be out approximately 4-6 months from the end of June.”
The season for the Hurricanes will begin on Tuesday, September 29th against the Florida Panthers at home. This will be the game where Carolina will be raising the banner. Jarvis probably won’t be ready for the start of the season. Expect him to be back not until October or November during the 2026-2027 season. The Hurricanes organization is so deep that they could be able to afford having him miss the first month of the season or two.
Carolina finished with a 53-22-7 record with 113 points last season. They finished with the second-most points in the NHL last season. The Hurricanes will have a good chance to repeat. Even without Jarvis in the lineup, they play a system under Rod Brind’Amour that is relentless and that is why they won it all last season.
