MONTICELLO – Police in the Village of Monticello are investigating at early morning shooting on Sunday in which an 18-year-old man was shot in both legs while on the sidewalk at the Woodlands Village Apartment complex on Moon Manor Road.
Lt. Mark Johnstone said the incident occurred at 2:55 p.m.
The victim, whose name was not made public, was transported by private vehicle to the emergency room at Garnett Health Medical Center Catskills in Harris and then transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill.
Anyone with information is asked to call Monticello Police in confidence at 845-794-4422. There is no information about potential suspect, and police became aware of the incident after the incident was brought to the hospital.
Monticello Police were assisted by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
