WEST POINT – New cadets from the West Point Class of 20230 marked the completion of basic training – Beast Barracks – on Monday with a 12-mile road march from Lake Frederick to West Point where they pass by the superintendent’s residence.
March Back was the culmination of six weeks of training, a rigorous program that trains new cadets in basic military skills and prepares them for entry into the Corps of Cadets.
This event acknowledges the cadets’ successful completion of one of the most demanding challenges they will encounter during their 47-month cadet experience.
Members of the Class of 2030 will be formally welcomes into the Corps of Cadets during the Acceptance Day Parade on Saturday, August 15.
