WURTSBORO – Looking for the perfect summer night out in Sullivan County? Join the Wurtsboro Board of Trade at Veterans Park on Thursday for Music in the Park and the Farmers Market. Shop fresh local produce and baked goods from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., then sit back and enjoy live local music starting at 6 p.m. Bring a blanket, grab a bite, and celebrate summer.
Vice President Kelly DeGuzman said that after the farmers market closed, they were approached to continue to run the market in the village.
“It was sort of a no-brainer. We already, during the summer months, have music in the park going on Thursday evenings, and so to be able to incorporate a weekly market was almost a seamless change.”
This is the second year of the market with music, and people are enjoying it.
“We have people coming for the music who now get to frequent the market, and people coming for the market stay for the music. So they’re very complementary of each other.”
It seems that Kelly and I are half sour pickle fans. So for us, it’s all about the pickles.
“We’re so excited to have pickles tomorrow, absolutely.”
