KINGSTON – Ronnybrook Farm Dairy in Ancramdale has signed a non-binding letter of intent to establish the dairy as an anchor tenant for a food and beverage manufacturing and agribusiness hub at iPark87 in the Town of Ulster.

Under the arrangement, the Ulster County Economic Development Alliance would lease the property to Ronnybrook, which will use a 21,700 square foot warehouse for cultured dairy production, and a cold-freezer storage facility would be developed in the future to serve other farm businesses and food manufacturers. Ronnybrook would manage that facility as well.

Ronnybrook would lease the property from the Economic Development Alliance for 10 years with options for renewal.

“This is smart economic development that supports our agricultural foundation and builds on your strengths, and it is exactly the kind of investment we need to expand and diversify our local economy ad create good jobs,” said County Executive Jen Metzger.

Ronnybrook Farm owner Rick Osofsky said a food, beverage, manufacturing and agribusiness hub “is a smart, forward-looking investment in the region’s agricultural future, and we’re excited to be part of it.”

He said, “expanding our cultured dairy production and helping manage shared cold storage at iPark will strengthen our own operations while supporting farms and food businesses across the Hudson Valley.”
