NEW CITY – Rockland County Government has begun an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Sustainability Task Force that will create a new countywide EMS plan in response to a new mandate by the state.
With some 86,000 EMS calls in Rockland annually, a plan will be created to ensure residents continue to receive high-quality, reliable, and responsive EMS care. The task force will conduct a comprehensive review of the county’s existing emergency services while collaborating and exchanging best practices with stakeholders.
The task force will hold its initial meeting on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at the County Fire Training Center auditorium, 35 Firemen’s Memorial Drive in Pomona.
The county is welcoming participation of invited members or their designees.
