PEARL RIVER – Orange and Rockland Utilities is preparing to deploy its emergency response workforce tomorrow (Saturday) morning in anticipation of incoming isolated severe thunderstorms that are expected to come in two batches throughout the duration of the day.

Weather models indicate these storms may produce high winds capable of knocking down trees, snaping heavy branches, and damaging utility poles. These environmental hazards present a direct challenge to electrical infrastructure and can cause disruptions to safe, reliable power delivery.

A total of 75 mutual aid workers are on active standby and prepared to work continuously to address power interruptions throughout the storm’s duration.
