TOWN OF DOVER – Police are actively searching for former Dover Town Supervisor Ryan Courtien, who was last seen on Sunday morning in the area of Waldo Road in Dover. Courtien, 49, is a hiking enthusiast and member of the JH Ketcham Hose Company in Dover. He is the current Chairman of the town’s planning board.
On Sunday morning, while wearing tan pants and a black shirt, he left his home to do yard work around 9:30 a.m. and has been missing since.
The New York State Police set up a command center on West Dover Road on Monday and are being assisted in the search by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Forest Rangers.
The search is expected to resume on Tuesday morning.
