KINGSTON – Mayor Steven Noble announced than Kingston and William Gottlieb Real Estate have reached “a mutually agreeable settlement” over the removal of the Pike Plan canopies.

The settlement resolves “all outstanding legal disputes” and “marks a constructive step forward,” the mayor said on Friday.

He said the settlement includes that William Gottlieb Real Estate and its representatives agreed to withdraw all pending disputes against the city involving the canopies.

Noble said the agreement includes “a monetary settlement and an easement for continued access to an area of the parking lot at 65-77 North Front Street.”

The city is pleased to move forward in good faith with the real estate company, Noble said.
