MONTGOMERY- The New York Air Show will return to Orange County Airport on August 1st and 2nd, bringing military aircraft demonstrations, historic warbirds, and parachute performances to the Hudson Valley.

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus and Orange County Tourism officials announced the event this week, saying the air show is one of eight stops on the national Air Dot Show tour.

The two-day event will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flying F-16 Fighting Falcons, the restored World War II B-25J Mitchell bomber Panchito, and demonstrations by the West Point Parachute Team.

“The New York Air Show is an Orange County summer tradition that is eagerly anticipated by aviation and military enthusiasts in our County and throughout the region,” Neuhaus said.  He added that the event also gives visitors an opportunity to explore other attractions throughout Orange County.

Amanda Dana, director of Orange County Tourism & Film, said the air show attracts aviation enthusiasts, military families and first-time visitors while showcasing the county as a destination.

In addition to the aerial demonstrations, the event will include food and beverage vendors, lawn seating, preferred seating and a VIP Flight Line Club offering catered meals and beverages.

The air show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, at Orange County Airport, 500 Dunn Road in Montgomery.

Adult tickets start at $32.25, while children’s tickets begin at $21.50.
