ALBANY – President Trump on Thursday denied the state request for a Major Disaster Declaration following the February blizzard that pummeled the Mid-Hudson, New York City and Long Island.

Governor Kathy Hochul said the impacted communities “deserve to have access to every resource available to recover and rebuild. Instead they have a president who is turning his back on his home state.”

The governor said she will appeal “to ensure New Yorkers receive the federal assistance they deserve.”
