LAKE CARMEL- Overcast skies failed to deter scores of fishing enthusiasts Saturday who rose early to participate in Lake Carmel’s annual rite of early summer— the annual Fishing Derby.
Three age divisions, from children to adults, were judged on the largest and smallest fish caught.
The “catch and release” competition was held in conjunction with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
