BEACON – The body of a man who went cliff diving in the area of the Groveville Mill Dam on Fishkill Creek Thursday evening, was recovered.
The dam is an inclined spillway known as the tallest dam on the Fishkill Creek.
The victim dove in the area of Front Street in Beacon at around 7 p.m. and was reported missing shortly thereafter.
State Police divers were called to search the water and the man’s body was located two hours later in the area where he entered the water, authorities said.
