MONTICELLO – A Sullivan County grand jury has convicted an East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania man of murder in the cold case killing of his girlfriend in Monticello back in June 2014.

Keymaroo Guiden, 53, was convicted following a 12-day trial, of the gruesome killing and dismemberment of 31-year-old April Parker.

In May 2014, she was reported missing and on June 10 of that year, State Police found skeletal remains in the woods behind where the Sleepy Hollow apartment complex, 150 yards from where Parker and Guiden had been living.

The head, hands and feet of the remains had been severed and disposed of.

DNA later determined the remains were that of Parker.

Through extensive investigation in subsequent years, it was determined that Guiden had reported Parker missing, had killed her but posted photos on Facebook and communicated with her friends making it appear that she was still alive.

When sentenced on October 5, 2026, Guiden is expected to be sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison.

“This was the most gruesome and heinous murder committed in Sullivan County in decades,” said District Attorney Brian Conaty. “This case culminated in years of committed investigative efforts by law enforcement to bring justice to April Parker and her family.”

A news release from the DA’s office announcing the conviction did not say where or when Guiden was arrested.
