SAUGERTIES – The 93-year-old man who was killed in a Thursday afternoon crash on Route 32 in Saugerties has been identified by police as Robert Goldberg of Catskill. Goldberg was driving southbound on Route 32 Thursday when he collided with a dump truck that was turning onto Old Route 32 from Route 32. The truck driver, a 57-year-old man from Palenville, has not been charged with any crime.
Goldberg was transported to HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Saugerties PD is being assisted by the New York State Police with the investigation.
