SPRING VALLEY- A Spring Valley man was remanded to the Rockland County Jail on high bail after an incident that occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on May 27.
It was alleged that Malik Batiste, 31, unlawfully entered a residence at 18 Gesner Drive and stabbed a male guest in the home while a child was there. Batiste also allegedly caused damage to several items in the home.
When Spring Valley Police arrived at the scene, the victim refused to cooperate with them and Batiste was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
He was remanded on $50,000 cash bail, $75,000 bond or $100,000 partially secured bond.
