May 13 of this year marks the 34th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction to the world. On this joyous and peaceful occasion, I traveled to Berlin, Germany, on May 9 to participate in the celebrations for “May 13 World Falun Dafa Day”!
On May 9, we held a celebration at Potsdamer Platz, Berlin’s famous commercial hub.
Accompanied by soothing, peaceful music, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, with movements that were “gentle, slow, and circular.” The scene was solemn yet serene.
Seeing this, I was deeply moved.
From 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong, until last year when I was still in China, I had never practiced in public. But before 1999, we were able to practice freely outdoors every day—those were truly wonderful memories.
Now that I’ve come to a free world and can practice openly again, I’m truly overjoyed and deeply cherish this environment.
Many passersby were drawn to the peaceful scene of Falun Gong practitioners practicing and stopped to watch.
Many took out their phones to take photos and videos, and many others actively asked for information about the practice.
The liveliest part of the event was the performance by the Falun Dafa practitioners’ waist drum troupe. Dressed in bright yellow traditional Chinese attire, the practitioners moved with light, rhythmic steps to the cheerful music, beating out a crisp, resonant drumbeat.
Many passersby clapped along to the rhythm, creating a particularly festive atmosphere!
Many members of the public also actively picked up Falun Dafa informational materials. After learning the truth, quite a few gave the practitioners a thumbs-up, saying, “That’s great!”
Many others were deeply shocked upon learning about the CCP’s 27-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They signed the petition against the persecution one after another to support the practitioners and call for an immediate end to the persecution.
After the event, the Falun Gong practitioners in the waist drum troupe took a group photo and joined their palms in prayer to wish Mr. Li Hongzhi a happy birthday.
As descendants of the Chinese nation, we refuse to be the offspring of Marxism-Leninism. We hope that more Chinese people will recognize the evil nature of the CCP and withdraw from the CCP, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers as soon as possible.
