MAYBROOK – A traffic stop conducted by Maybrook Village Police yielded 16 glassine bags containing cocaine. Police also found a stun gun in his possession.
Steven Tieman, 64, of Montgomery was arrested on Friday, May 1, and charged with felony drug possession, criminal possession of a weapon, failure to stop at a stop sign, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
Due to the state’s bail reform laws, he was released on an appearance ticket returnable next month.
Maybrook Police Chief Dennis Barnett said his officers are part of a department that is fighting every day against the drug sale epidemic. “Be advised that if you going to sell drugs in our community, we will do everything in our power to investigate you and bring those responsible to justice.”
