STAATSBURG – The Hyde Park Police Department has announced the closure of the east end of South Cross Road, near Route 9G. A downed power line is across the road, creating a significant hazard.
South Cross Road is still accessible from Route 9 on the west end.
Central Hudson has been notified, according to police and the utility company plans to respond.
Motorists are being forced to use the west end of South Cross Road until repairs are made
