POUGHKEEPSIE – The murder trial of Tom Case, the man accused of killing his girlfriend’s 20-year-old son at a Christmas Tree farm on Rawls Road in Pleasant Valley, is scheduled to begin today in Dutchess County Court.
Case, 54, a retired member of the Los Angeles Police Department, was indicted in January 2025 for shooting Anthony Cuozzo four times in the back as Cuozzo was on the phone with a 911 operator reporting a domestic incident.
The trial was originally scheduled to begin in October 2025, but was adjourned.
The jury trial is slated to begin at 11 a.m. before Judge Karen Edelman-Reyes.
