Three arrested in two Newburgh shooting incidents

NEWBURGH – Three Newburgh residents have been arrested by Newburgh City Police following two shootings in April.

On April 14, police investigated a shooting in the area of 137 Lander Street. On April 20, following a warrant search at 162 Lander, police arrested Terence Walker, 18, on charges of criminal possession of a weapon.

On April 18, at about 2:25 a.m., a ShotSpotter notification reported five gunshots in the area of 162 Lander.

The same search warrant led to the arrest of Willie Cousar, 19, who was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

A 17-year-old juvenile was located in the same residence and also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
