NEWBURGH – An attack in the area of 310 Broadway in Newburgh resulted in a man being stabbed in the abdomen at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 19.
City police identified the suspect as Willie Jones, Jr., 31, of Newburgh. He allegedly attempted to rob the victim who fought back to defend himself.
Both men were treated for injuries at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.
Jones was charged with armed robbery, assault and two misdemeanor counts of drug possession.
