PATTERSON- Dogs of all sizes and shapes will be converging on the Patterson Recreation Center today for the Putnam Service Dogs Annual ‘Funminster’ Dog Show.
Nancy Teague of Southeast, a lover of dogs since childhood, who created Putnam Service Dogs, a charity that provides free, highly trained service dogs in addition to follow up services to people with physical disabilities other than blindness, encouraged the public to attend and support the organization: “Our dogs change the lives of our recipients and their families by adding love, joy, independence and ease. Putnam Service Dogs honors and promotes the nurturing bond between humans and dogs.”
Teague had a message to residents of Putnam County: “Show off your best friend at this unique dog show. Any breed, any age welcome as long as your dog is friendly and current on vaccinations.”
Ten categories will be judged ranging from Wiggly Butt to Best Senior; Shaggiest Dog to Dog/Owner Look Alike; Best Tail to Best Ears; Smallest Dog to largest Dog and Best Dressed to Most Talented.
The show takes place from 12-noon to 3 p.m.
