LIBERTY – According to the Sullivan County Health Department’s website, their mission is to “prevent, promote and protect.” That’s why they held the ribbon cutting on Thursday at their new clinic space, and to show the public what services they offer.
Health Director Dr. Jessie Moore says that the services offered are good, but she wants “to be able to bring more folks from the community into our clinics.” Moore also said they now have “an adolescent and adult room, and then we also have a pediatric room because we’re going to do more immunizations.”
Community Health Coordinator Ericka Acevedo says that the services offered are for everyone, regardless of immigration status. “We just look at people as humans, and we just want to make sure that we’re helping as much as we can.”
Dr. Moore says that the clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but if you are in need, “We can possibly bring you in and provide that service at a different time to meet the needs that you have.”
