MID-HUDSON – President Trump’s war again Iran is increasing pump prices on a daily basis with gasoline breaking the $4. per gallon mark and diesel fuel over $5. per gallon.
One slight break in prices comes at club big box warehouse stores that also sell gas, like BJ’s and Sam’s Club, both of which have stores in the Hudson Valley.
At the BJ’s store in the Town of Newburgh, the lines were 15 vehicles deep.
It was reminiscent of lines at the pumps in the early 1970s as shortages resulted in gas rationing with vehicles allowed to gas up on odd or even days depending upon the last digit on their license plate.
With the ceasefire agreed to late Tuesday, prices at the pumps may start to decline.
