NEWBURGH – An incident of shots being fired in the area of Third Street and City Terrace in the City of Newburgh has the police department’s Non-Fatal Shooting Task Force investigating the incident that occurred at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 4.
Several spent shell casings were recovered at the scene of the incident.

On Sunday, April 5 at 7 a.m., a man sustained a laceration to his head that resulted in heavy bleeding.
When police arrived, they determined the victim had been struck on the head by another person. The victim was taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital with a severe head laceration.
No arrests have been made at this time.
