TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The Hudson Valley Renegades and Heritage Federal Credit Union have chosen the Town of Poughkeepsie Softball’s Stanley Still Park as the recipient of the 2026 Youth Field Betterment refurbishment.

“We are honored to be chosen as this year’s field renovation project and deeply appreciate the Renegades for their dedication to improving local fields and creating opportunities for young athletes across the Hudson Valley,” said Janine Masopust, Board Secretary of the Town of Poughkeepsie Girls Softball Little League. “This generous partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening our community and investing in the future of our athletes

The program, which began in 2023, awards one youth baseball or softball organization annually to refurbish a field within their community with Stanley Still Park representing the first softball field selected. Awards are given to organizations that meet certain criteria, including increasing the access of youth participation and improving the quality of youth baseball, and developing life skills of all those who have access to the facility.

“We’re all about showing up for our community, and teaming up with the Hudson Valley Renegades helps us to do just that,” said Chad Beach, Community Development Officer at Heritage Financial Credit Union. “From improving local fields to supporting little leagues, it’s all about giving kids a place to play, grow, and make great memories.”

The Hudson Valley Renegades are the New York Yankees’ High-A affiliate and began their season April 3, where they defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones, the New York Mets’ High-A affiliate, at Maimonides Park, by a score of 3-1. The three-time South Atlantic League North Division Champion Renegades play their first home game on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Heritage Financial Park.
